OK, I have compiled MAMEW with PPro optimisations, New CPS-2 games, Aaron's 26/5/01 fixes and my code. With this version you can use a 'driver'.ini config file as well as mame.ini, vector.ini and 'gamename'.ini. i.e. for sfz3jr1 you can configure with mame.ini, cps2.ini, sfa3.ini &, sfz3jr1.ini.
This makes life a lot easier for me when I want to configure all of my cps2 games to use scanlines in 640x480 whilst most other games run in 800x600 stretched.
To see what configs are being loaded for a game use "mamewpp sfz3jr1 -verbose" or set the flag in mame.ini

Upped CPSMAMEw, My build of MAMEw with only cps2 games and Crashtest's Shotfactory.
Update: CPS2Shock release: Super Street Fighter 2 X (Japan 940223), Also official CPS2MAME released for Windows. I don't know if it has Crashtest's new code yet.

Well, if you haven't noticed where have you been? Mame 0.37b15 came out 10 mins before I went to my friends engagement party. I was not impressed. I've tidied my roms for the new release and played a bit of pbobble4.
A fair number of drivers were not included this time around, I think Nicola was frustrated by impatient people. The games I'm most missing are "Bonze Adventure", "Cosmo Gang The Puzzle (US)" and "China Gate".
Nicola has added the Japan and World versions of "Puzzle Bobble 4" even though Team Japump admitted that they just changed one byte like Stephh and I have done for most of the Taito (+ Capcom) games.
Anyway it's cool, I'm just d/l Emuloader as I can't cope with te console anymore.

Been playing with region-switching a lot. Stephh and I have a working cheat engine that allows patching of the rom. Also I decided to investigate Psychic Force (As supported by Impact) and found it also had a region switch.

I think SMAME is planning to distribute Kaillera in StretchMAME in the future so don't bother checking back for new versions.
I was planning to switch to the new WinMAME anyway
Did you all see the mention of Kaillera on Slashdot? My hits went up by ~1000 so I dread to think what happened to Christophe's counter

Kaillera 0.81 fixed most of the problems people had with laggy inputs.
I've been helping Stephh of Ultimate Patchers with some region patching of the Taito games (At the moment they show as DIP-Switches but in future they should all work from within the new cheat engine)
